Meet Daniel

Photography is a big part of my life, but you’re just as likely to find me outside without a client in front of my camera. I’m a runner, cyclist, hiker, and climber, and I’ve spent years exploring trails, mountains, waterfalls, and wild places throughout the Northeast and beyond.

That sense of adventure is a big part of who I am and how I work. I’m happiest outside, exploring somewhere new, meeting interesting people, and probably carrying more camera gear than I actually need.

I believe being photographed should feel more like an experience than a photo shoot. So whether we’re walking through your favorite park, exploring a trail, or simply spending time somewhere meaningful to you, I want you to relax, enjoy yourself, and forget about the camera for a while.

The Outdoors Changed My Photography

Long before I photographed families, weddings, and events, I spent countless weekends carrying a camera through the mountains. I photographed waterfalls, chased changing light, backpacked into the wilderness, climbed, trail ran, and learned firsthand how quickly conditions—and plans—can change outdoors.

Those experiences shaped the photographer I am today. They taught me patience, adaptability, and how to find something beautiful even when the light, weather, or location isn’t cooperating. They also made me comfortable working in places many photographers simply don’t go.

That opens up possibilities for the people I photograph. Your session doesn’t have to happen in a studio or a perfectly manicured park. We can wander the trails at Rockefeller State Park, head toward a waterfall, explore the Hudson Valley, or hike somewhere spectacular for a proposal, portrait session, or intimate wedding.

Because ultimately, the landscape is only part of the photograph. The people and the story happening within it are what matter.
